Review: Paik’s Noodle

Paik’s Noodle

2625 Old Denton Rd

Carrollton, TX 75007

When talking about perfect restaurant, this is the place: Paik's Noodle! From the moment you walk in you will be greeted by one of the nicest people in the hospitality universe, If it is your first time, she will gladly walk you through what they have to offer and what to order.

The restaurant is spotlessly clean. Also, you can see inside the kitchen through the window, allowing you to see how the cooks prepare your food and how professional and sanitized they are. And they have to be because you are watching, so cleanliness for this restaurant is a gold star.

I always talk about how every restaurant water MUST be filtered, so  one of my favorite functions in this restaurant is that they have a water filtering system called Coway water filtration system installed in their restaurant and it is guaranteed that your water is nice, cold and clean!

Paik's Noodle is the type of restaurant that you go up to the counter and order. There are no servers you have the self service area, where they provide daikon (pickled radish), utensils, napkins, condiments, and sparebowls and plates.

Left is Bokkeummyeon (Stir-Fried noodles with seafood, pork and vegetables). Think Japanese Yakisoba! Right is Jajangmyeon (Noodle with black bean sauce) One of the best place that made perfect black bean sauce!

There are only 6 items to order from the menu.... yes, I said SIX!!! Rather small menu, but because they only doing six dishes all day, they have perfected the technique of making these six divine dishes to their finest! Six dishes are: Bokkeummyeon, Jajangmyeon, Jajangbap, Tangsuyuk, Jjamppong and Jjamppongbap.

Bokkeummyeon!

This one is lightly coated deep fried pork Tangsuyuk! With sweet and sour sauce and honey. It was really good, just a bit too sweet for me; I would rather told them to go easy on honey, then it will be perfect!

And this is the superstar of the show the famous Jajangbap! Why? Because you get JJamppong soup and omelette and Jajang sauce in one order for just 7$! Oh yes, this restaurant is incredibly cheap and the portions are enormous!

Jjamppong is Korean noodles with seafood, pork and vegetables in a spicy broth. If you like things a

little more spicy!

So bottom line is, Paik's Noodle is the perfect restaurant because of their exceptionally pleasant service, cheap food, big portions, sensational taste and texture, spotlessly clean restaurant and it is perfect place for serious eaters!

First restaurant in Texas: Soulman's Bar-B-Que!

Hello there, good to see you again.

Soulman's Bar-B-Que

818 I-30 Frontage Rd, Royse City, TX 75189

(972) 636-0000

This was the very first restaurant that I went to in Texas, because driving in state from the east you will end up seeing this place as the first BBQ restaurant, and Texas is famous for BBQ and steak so I gave it a try!

They have sense of humor, for example, look at their logo it's a pig in sunglasses and their warning

sign, so I bet the owner is very nice guy or girl.

When you walk in every stereotype is true, from country music, to the wooden western tavern style facility ,people with southern accent and cowboy related items everywhere in the restaurant. and how you order are just like Dickey's you choose your meat, sides, etc.

The food here is okay, not what I expected from Texas, but the nice service and facility compensate it pretty well.

So if you're coming in to Texas for the first time, give this place a try to satisfy your hunger. It's a good start to magnificent journey to Texas food utopia.

And of course more humor in the bathroom.

Diener's Restaurant

If you're talking about the hottest spot in Mechanisburg for breakfast, this is it: Diener's, the absolute gem of downtown Mechanicsburg for breakfast spot. It might be hard to find the parking for this place because it is a small restaurant on the main street of Mechanicsburg and doesn't have it's own parking lots, so parking is quite hard because this place is very popular. Oh, and be careful not to park in the lots next door because that's Colony House Restaurant's parking lot, and there is a reason I won't mention them, if you know what I'm saying.

As you walk in, you will start experiencing the house-like cozy atmosphere, very friendly environment and old fashion style decorations. Quite peaceful, and can be romantic.

Their menu is different weekday and weekend. These are the weekday's menu very strait forward and easy to understand.

1 point taken away for me is that water is not filtered.

But the food is very nice: fresh egg toasted bread that is not too burnt like many places. Delicious french toast and good coffee come with cheap prices. The very simplistic plate presentation is perfect, and this is the best choice to start your morning.

Warning: Saturday morning and Sunday after church are crazy busy, so plan your trip wisely. You will bookmark this place on your favorite list in no time.

Review: The Circular at The Hotel Hershey

The Circular at The Hotel Hershey

100 Hotel Rd, Hershey, PA 17033

(717) 534-8800

The name 'Hershey' is the avatar of sweetness in itself, and this is a very well-known restaurant in Hotel Hershey.

One of the five awesome places to dine is the Circular!

As soon as you walk in to the Circular, you will understand right away where the name comes from.

It's also very well decorated  in the dining room: nice, clean, and sophisticated.

The varieties of the food are different every week: could be duck, trout, etc. Whatever their special dishes are, they always capture my attention. Very tasty, plus the atmosphere always makes me think of how sweet life would be if you can do this everyday. It's important that your meal is fabulous and sophisticated because it will make you really appreciate life.

When you think of the name Hershey, you think of chocolate, and when you think of chocolate, you think of dessert. Hershey is known as the sweetest place on earth, and that's is not just a saying; it's beyond that, because all the dessert that is served here is made by the queen pastry chef of the world, Chef Cher Harris . So it's guaranteed that you will be served with the best dessert in the entire planet with the exceptional sweetness to finish up your food journey.

I would like to point out their attention to details here. The coffee is Ellis coffee, the finest coffee of Philadelphia since 1854, it will be yours best coffee that you ever have!

If you live or visiting in PA, The Circular at The Hotel Hershey is a must! You will feel the zenith warmth of hospitality that PA has to offer.
