Diener's Restaurant

If you're talking about the hottest spot in Mechanisburg for breakfast, this is it: Diener's, the absolute gem of downtown Mechanicsburg for breakfast spot. It might be hard to find the parking for this place because it is a small restaurant on the main street of Mechanicsburg and doesn't have it's own parking lots, so parking is quite hard because this place is very popular. Oh, and be careful not to park in the lots next door because that's Colony House Restaurant's parking lot, and there is a reason I won't mention them, if you know what I'm saying.

As you walk in, you will start experiencing the house-like cozy atmosphere, very friendly environment and old fashion style decorations. Quite peaceful, and can be romantic.

Their menu is different weekday and weekend. These are the weekday's menu very strait forward and easy to understand.

1 point taken away for me is that water is not filtered.

But the food is very nice: fresh egg toasted bread that is not too burnt like many places. Delicious french toast and good coffee come with cheap prices. The very simplistic plate presentation is perfect, and this is the best choice to start your morning.

Warning: Saturday morning and Sunday after church are crazy busy, so plan your trip wisely. You will bookmark this place on your favorite list in no time.

Review: Sophia's at Walden

Hello there, good to see you again.

Sophia's at Walden

129 Walden Way, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050

(717) 791-0100

Located in a sophisticated community of Walden Way, this is a nice little cafe-like place that is very pleasant to hangout for brunch!

Our experience with them was nice; however, it was rather slow service. But the atmosphere is very peaceful, surrounded by upper class citizens of PA.

Salmon.

House salad.

Eggs Benedict.

The food is decent and clean and it seems healthy as well. This place has great atmosphere, so on days with nice weather, don't forget to give this place a try.

Until next time....

Review: Cafe Magnolia

Hello there, good to see you again.

Cafe Magnolia 4700 Gettysburg Rd Mechanicsburg, PA 17055
This nice BYOB, cozy little house-looking restaurant is, in my opinion, the very best place to have a business meeting, get together, or just to have a relaxing lunch. Here's why.... let's start with the entrance.

A very nice atmosphere of the outside patio; Perfect for casual lunch or business meeting.

As soon as you walk in, you will get the sensation of home: the relaxing environment, clean dining room, and a great smile from your host. All the staff at Cafe Magnolia have exceptional hospitality skills, so have no worries about getting good service here because it will be great!

My highly recommend drink here is the Magnolia Cooler. The ice tea with fruity flavor is just so perfect for the hot days and it is also free refills!

The menu design is nice and easy to read. There are so many good options here my favorite ones are...

Cranberry & Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich

The ultimate awesomeness and sensational sandwich, so unique that you have to get it here! Ciabatta bread at many places are just too tough, but Cafe Magnolia prepares them perfectly; soft and crunchy at the same time, the seasoning is perfect with provolone cheese that will boost the taste in your mouth.

The best burger you will ever find in central PA: Traditional Burger! The beef is cooked to its perfection with American Cheese and house fries.  It's so good that you will want to come back for more.

You want to know why this place is so good? The answer is simple:

Chef Brien Reynolds, the executive chef and general manager of Cafe Magnolia! ICC Graduated chef from New York, mentored by the legend chef Jacques Pépin. Chef Reynolds is the nicest person you will ever encounter. His enthusiasm and passion about good taste and service are beyond ordinary; he only delivers excellencies.

If you are looking for a great place for your lunch and exceptional service with great prices, Cafe Magnolia is highly recommend you will definitely experience something sensational from this restaurant.

Check them out on Facebook. Website.

Review: Hunan Express

1010 Wesley Dr #108, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 (717) 697-1666

A lot of people think smaller Chinese restaurants are all the same. Most of them, yes, I agree; on the other hand, this place Hunan Express is not . This restaurant is hands down the best small Chinese restaurant in the area. Let me show you what they have to offer.

As you can see they have lunch buffet for ONLY $5.85!!!! That's dirt cheap for the value and quality of the food. I don't blame you if you will think something like  "With a price this low, the quality must be low too." My friends, I can assure you, the quality and taste are both sensational!

You can rarely see a restaurant this size offer you lunch buffet, especially for price like this. Or even if they do, the food won't be as good as this one, I guarantee it.

Look at that portion on the plate! There's so much! I definitely recommend to grab a take out box lunch combo. They are so cheap: just $5.65 per combo! The taste, my friends, is absolutely sensational. They always cook their rice to perfection, so this place is a must!

TIPS:
  • Try their Mongolian beef..... you will not regret it, trust me.
  • They do deliver and the delivery person is very nice for no charge! So don't forget to give him a tip for his awesomeness.

So if you're in the area, pick up your phone now order that Mongolian beef and try it for yourself! They also do online ordering.

You can check out their menus on their website,
