Review: Momo's BBQ and Grill

Hello there, good to see you again.

MoMo's BBQ & Grill
307 Market St, Harrisburg, PA 17101
(717) 230-1030

Be honest....if you live in central PA, there's absolutely no good BBQ places that are worth the trip, so most of the time you grill at home. After going around trying many places, I discovered MoMo's BBQ & Grill. This place is very good considering the location in central PA.

Here's the funny part: the sign says "Please Seat Yourself," and you might think this is odd. It's because this place is pretty much for locals. That's how you know it's good! So what you have to do is grab a menu next to the register and go find yourself a seat, because their servers, although very nice, are also bartenders, so they're usually busy getting drinks for other guests.

There are many TV's, and just like most sports bars, they have many craft beers that you can enjoy. The atmosphere is pretty decent.

Their menu is not big; very easy to understand and not too complicated. Their specials are very nice, so be sure to hit their happy hours.

What I highly recommend are baby back ribs and wings with the Texas tangy sauce. The ribs fall off the bone, very nice touch from the chef to make it delicious and memorable. Even though it is a BBQ spot, the star here is the wings! They are so good, I would say they might even surpass Aroooga's wings.

The creamed corn side dish is a must: they do it differently from any other place by using condense milk to boost the corn flavor really well.

The good news is you don't have to go all the way to Pittsburgh to get spectacular BBQ, or Texas of course. MoMo's BBQ & Grill will satisfy your meat cravings.

Review: Little Saigon

Hello there, good to see you again.

Little Saigon 2800 Paxton St, Harrisburg, PA 17111
(717) 561-1117

An absolute treasure of Harrisburg Vietnamese cuisine, the sensation of authentic, nostalgic, food that you will enjoy, to the heart and soul of Vietnam.

As you can see, the prices are so cheap, and I guaranteed you Little Saigon has the best tasting Vietnamese food and lowest price in the area, a true gem of Harrisburg!!!

Have you ever had Soy drink? If not, give it a try, it's really creamy and semi-sweet and best of all, healthy for you.

The famous spring rolls are the ultimate sensation of Vietnamese appetizers. Spring rolls are a must-order when you come here, and their house sauce is sensational better than any place I've tried. Oh, and some place has this "rice shell smell" that is not pleasant to eat (smell like rotten starch), but that's not the case for Little Saigon. As you sink your teeth in, you will get the sensation of fresh ingredients the refreshing tastes of Vietnamese herbs paired with the exceptional taste of the dipping sauce.

And here comes the superstar of Little Saigon: the famous beef pho, I can assure you after this bowl of goodness, you will add Vietnamese cuisine to your all time favorite list. The broth is cooked to it's perfection, not to much MSG (how to tell if MSG is excessive is when you have finished eating, if it has too much MSG, you'll have a dry throat and much phlegm). The beef collagen explodes in your mouth, and to balance all the flavor are the herbs. It is a perfection in one bowl. I like to add hoisin sauce to my broth to add that unique sweetness. You might like sriracha sauce, but definitely add lime juice and basil in your bowl.

Side garnish that you can add in. Basil, bean sprout, cilantro, jalapeno, and lime.

Not a big fan of noodle soup but want to try the awesomeness of Vietnamese cuisine? Try this bun bo xao, pretty much like pho salad without the soup. It's very intense in fresh flavors; it's so good so very very good.

They also have very good desserts and meat buns. The owner is a very nice man, too.

My only complain for Little Saigon is the atmosphere and a little bit of cleanliness of the place. Not the food of course, but if you don't mind the super casual atmosphere, try this place right now, it's so good you won't regret it!

Review: Cafe Magnolia

Hello there, good to see you again.

Cafe Magnolia 4700 Gettysburg Rd Mechanicsburg, PA 17055
This nice BYOB, cozy little house-looking restaurant is, in my opinion, the very best place to have a business meeting, get together, or just to have a relaxing lunch. Here's why.... let's start with the entrance.

A very nice atmosphere of the outside patio; Perfect for casual lunch or business meeting.

As soon as you walk in, you will get the sensation of home: the relaxing environment, clean dining room, and a great smile from your host. All the staff at Cafe Magnolia have exceptional hospitality skills, so have no worries about getting good service here because it will be great!

My highly recommend drink here is the Magnolia Cooler. The ice tea with fruity flavor is just so perfect for the hot days and it is also free refills!

The menu design is nice and easy to read. There are so many good options here my favorite ones are...

Cranberry & Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich

The ultimate awesomeness and sensational sandwich, so unique that you have to get it here! Ciabatta bread at many places are just too tough, but Cafe Magnolia prepares them perfectly; soft and crunchy at the same time, the seasoning is perfect with provolone cheese that will boost the taste in your mouth.

The best burger you will ever find in central PA: Traditional Burger! The beef is cooked to its perfection with American Cheese and house fries.  It's so good that you will want to come back for more.

You want to know why this place is so good? The answer is simple:

Chef Brien Reynolds, the executive chef and general manager of Cafe Magnolia! ICC Graduated chef from New York, mentored by the legend chef Jacques Pépin. Chef Reynolds is the nicest person you will ever encounter. His enthusiasm and passion about good taste and service are beyond ordinary; he only delivers excellencies.

If you are looking for a great place for your lunch and exceptional service with great prices, Cafe Magnolia is highly recommend you will definitely experience something sensational from this restaurant.

Review: Iron Age Asian Grill

Hello there, good to see you again!

Iron Age Asian Grill

1054 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852

A very Unique style of authentic Korean BBQ that will blow your mind!

Iron Age Asian Grill is probably the best, and most authentic Korean BBQ styled restaurant that you will ever find in the east coast. I've been to so many restaurants like this, even in my home town in Thailand (we have Moo Kata, or open grilled pork which is sensational), but this place just as easily surpasses them, without a doubt. The best part is that they are buffet style, so it's all you can eat!!! You can order meat for unlimited amount for as low as $20 per person; it can't get any better!

Let me show you the ultimate feast for all you can eat for just $20!!!!!

As you might know, Korean food is about side dishes. Iron Age Asian Grill side dishes are absolutely delicious. The Korean styled mashed potatoes will steal your heart and the pickled radishes are just too good! Also, the dressing for salad is a phenomenon.

As you can see, there are house sauces that come with the meat. The pictures above are pork belly. To be completely honest, I don't like the pork belly so much. But don't be disappointed yet! I would recommend you to skip pork belly and.......

Behold the best beef you will ever experience!!!! Korean Bulgogi beef with house marination: the absolute mouth watering and super delicious sensation of Korean cuisine. The crown jewel of all grilled meat. The taste of oriental marination and the scent of the spirit of Korean food. I would recommend you to order tons of this meat; you will die happy.

In $20 course comes with soft serve which is also very very delicious.

Good news for people who lives close to Ellicott City, MD

They will opening a new one soon!

Verdict

9/10

I have to take away 1 point just because of the pork belly. But overall, it's the best Korean food I've ever experienced!
